The end of the winter season is fast approaching and we are feeling sad in the office that we soon will have to wait another 8 months before we can get back on the slopes again. That said, it’s been a fantastic season and we’ve all been lucky enough to spend some good time on the mountain. Here’s where we’ve been this year…

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?
I spent Christmas & New Year in Wengen with my family - Wengen is a regular haunt for us, we love the traditional Swiss charm that it offers and the delicious mountain restaurants. Second week of January I was in Meribel with my boyfriend and his family which was great fun. We had loads of snow, the only issue was that it was absolutely freezing, -15 on some days!
WHERE DID YOU STAY?
In Wengen I stayed at a hotel we love, The Beausite Park Hotel. The staff are so lovely and attentive and the food is delicious!
We stayed in a very basic chalet in Meribel - not an ALS Ski style chalet.
FAVE PIECE OF NEW KIT THIS SEASON?
Didn’t wear any new kit this season but I loved skiing on the Salmon S Max - a really precise piste ski. The edge amplifier is great for carving.
BEST DAY ON THE MOUNTAIN THIS SEASON?
I think our first ski day which was Christmas Day - it snowed on Christmas Eve and waking up on Christmas morning to fresh snow and blue skies and then being able to ski in that with my family was really something special.
BEST LUNCH?
Fave mountain restaurant we ate at this season was at Hotel Wengernalp in Wengen - it has such a lovely alpine feel but also serves the most delicious food and wine, we ate out in the sunshine with the view of the Eiger but you can also eat inside by the cost log fire.
PLANS FOR NEXT SEASON?
My brother is planning to do a ski season in Val d’Isere next season, so I would love to go and visit him out there! I think there is also talk to do a ski trip with some friends, so we shall see!
